Setup Android Tablet for Warehouse

Assuming that the tablet is new / out of the box:-

Open

1. Power ON

   1. Connect to Mobile Network- Skip

   2. Connect to Wi-Fi - Yes

      1. Select your Warehouse Wifi network & connect up.

2. Wait for it to finish initial setup

3. Copy apps & Data - Don’t copy

4. Sign in to Google - Skip and then Skip Again

5. Google Services - we want some of these so ‘Accept’

6. Set a PIN

   1. Make this common across all tablets, that way if one goes flat or is damaged another can take it’s place

7. ‘Terms of Use’ etc - no option here, just click on 'Agree'

8. System Navigation - select ‘3-buttons navigation' & ‘Next’

9. You will now be at the main Screen, we need to change a few settings

   1. Select the Settings icon

   2. Select Display

      1. Direction Lock - Turn ON

      2. Select Font Size

         1. Slide it all the way to the Left

      3. Select Display Size

         1. Slide it all the way to the Left

   3. Back to Display Settings

      1. Scroll down to Automatic screen off - Set for 30 minutes

   4. Finished with Settings

10. Select the Web Browser (Chrome in this case)

    1. Select 'Use without an account'

    2. Select ‘No thanks’ to Chrome notifications

    3. Finally you will get to the Web Browser

11. Enter in the internal URL of the Warehouse module, this is only accessible from within your local network, you can’t get to it from the internet.

    1. it will generally be like:- https://wh.company.cmbs.au:4489

12. Once the Login Page has loaded, click on the 3 dots to the extreme right

    1. Scroll down to ‘Add to Home Screen’, click that.

    2. Call it what you like & ‘Add’.

    3. Exit the Web Browser by clicking the Circle at the bottom.

    4. Your new Web App is ready for use.

13. Procedure complete.
